About us

Naut was born in 2025, halfway between Barcelona and long spring trails in the Catalan Pyrenees. Inspired by the highest peaks, the most beautiful forests and meadows, while crossing paths with cows, horses, and chamois, with the whistle of marmots in the background. Naut emerged with a clear purpose: to blend design, aesthetics, and technical functionality at a fair price.

Naut means high or elevated in Aranese — the variant of the Occitan language spoken in the Val d'Aran. It is our tribute to one of the purest regions of these mountains and the people who care for them.

We manufacture the minimum number of units to avoid overproduction and restock the garments you love the most. We design timeless clothing in neutral colors that do not expire, occasionally splashed with a very special seasonal color. We use meticulously selected technical fabrics, put to the test on our favorite trails to keep you light, cool, and dry.

We do not believe in massive discounts; we only reduce the price when a product is about to be discontinued. Instead of constantly launching new collections, we prefer to evolve. That is why most of our garments carry a two-digit numerical code indicating their version. We believe in continuous improvement: if we find a superior fabric or design a more useful pocket, we will update the product, and you will easily identify it by this code.

Naut doesn't talk about effort, consistency, pace, or specific distances. Everyone goes out there for their own reasons and whenever their daily life allows. A specialty coffee after an easy run, hard uphill intervals, a hike up the nearest mountain, or sky running along the highest ridge.
